Forge a vault

Four steps. Everything cryptographic happens in this browser tab — we never see or store your keys.

Open beta. Don't store more than you'd trust to a beta (we suggest ≤ 5,000 KAS). The contract is open source, but external audit is still ahead.

Delay & inheritance

The delay is the window during which a theft can be cancelled. Longer is safer, but you wait longer for your own withdrawals too.

Three keys & recovery sheet

The keys were just created in your browser. Each has its own place to live. You can't continue without saving the recovery sheet — it's the only copy.

Hot key — starts withdrawals and check-ins
Fine to keep on your computer or in a password manager.
Alarm key — cancels a theft
Keep it SEPARATE from the hot key: paper, a safe, another device. If a thief gets both, the protection is gone.
Funding key — temporary, to place coins into the vault
Used once on step 3. Not important afterwards.
Vault address

Place the coins

Send KAS from any wallet to the funding address. Once it arrives, hit "Lock into vault" — your browser assembles and signs the on-chain contract.

Whose address is this? Yours. Its funding key was just generated in this browser and is printed on your recovery sheet — we have no access to these coins. They simply wait here until you press "Lock into vault": at that moment your browser itself assembles and signs the vault contract. A covenant can't be created by a plain transfer — that's why this step exists (and why you should never send KAS directly to the vault address).

🔑 The private key to this address is yours — it's on your recovery sheet, the "Funding key" line.
